She gave us a tour of the salon, and started talking to us about the things she does outside the salon. Every Sunday she drives down to the homeless shelters and gives free hair cuts. She understands that every person deserves to look and feel beautiful, and it is not their fault they can not afford to come in. So this is her way she gives back. She even spent last Christmas there all night. She wanted to see and feel what these families go through. Even after all that she feels she is still not doing enough. Her ultimate goal is to get a mobile trailer set up with washing machines, chairs, and sinks. So that her and a few of her stylist can go down there and do their laundry and fix their hair. 

The thing that made Jo and I nominate her was that she did not even know what Spread The Love was. When we told her what we have been doing she asked what Charity we were with? This salon owner gives everything, and we want to give back. So do not pick Jo because he is a rock star, and/or me because I am cute. Pick EOE , because they are truly devoted to making people feel, look, and believe that they are beautiful. It is not about the money, and not about them feeling better. They just care about everyone. So please help make this wish come true. So Katie and everyone at East of Eden can make others wishes come true.
